About House Of Armand de Brignac
Armand de Brignac is made by the renowned Champagne house Cattier. The Cattier house has been making Champagne on the same land since 1763. Their property occupies the most prestigious crus in Rilly-la-Montagne, Chigny-les-Roses. and Ludes villages of Montagne de Reims.
The name was registered as “de Brignac de Brignac’ in the 1950s. Based on Jean-Jacques Cattier, his mother recommended the name when she was inspired by the character named “de Brignac in a book.
However, it was the French Champagne regulator, Comite Interprofessionnel du Vin de Champagne (CIVC), asked the CIVC to add the word “Armand” in the name so that there is no confusion with Brignac, a village located in the northwestern part of France known as Brignac.
The 21st century brought about a new era for the brand. Its 12th and 13th-generation vintners of the Cattier family, Jean-Jacques Cattier and his son Alexandre, began making an ultra-premium batch of Champagnes that would take the market by storm.
What is their signature?
The stunningly opaque metallic bottles sport the brand’s logo, Ace of Spades. Over time, the symbol and the luxurious bottling have become synonymous with Armand de Brignac’s name.
Following Cristal Champagne’s owner, Louis Roederer, who made some controversial comments about the hip-hop community’s support of their wine, many artists changed their preferences towards Armand de Brignac.
The most prominent of these vocalists was the rapper Jay-Z, who wore an alcoholic glass of Brut Gold in his video for, ‘Show Me What You’ve Got.’
He ended up purchasing Armand de Brignac in the year 2014!

Armand de Brignac Winemaking And Wine Styles
This award-winning Champagne is the product of a carefully curated vinification process.
It all starts with picking the top out of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier wine grapes gathered from the entire property, no matter the variety. Through a recognized sustainable farming system, The Cattier father-son team can harvest incredible crops each year.
The grapes are then pressed in the wineries of the family’s heirloom located on the property. After fermentation and Champagne blend, the most excellent wine is aged for at minimum one calendar year inside French oak barrels.
These aged wines are transferred into Armand de Brignac’s iconic, hand-crafted metal bottles. These bottles are decorated with a French pewter label with crests and a pewter label packed in lacquered wooden boxes.
The company says less than 20 individuals manage this unique sparkling wine from pressing through packaging and claims that this gives it its distinctive character.
Armand de Brignac Cuvees
Armand de Brignac makes five Cuvees, each a distinctive expression of the same three-varietal blend of grapes.
Armand de Brignac’s first release is also the one they’re most known for. Brut gold combines 40% Pinot Noir, 40% Chardonnay, and 20% Pinot Meunier from three exemplary vintages. It contains a bitter peach pit, apricot, red berry aromas, and a palate full of exotic fruits and ripe white cherry.

Should You Invest In Armand de Brignac?
Alongside the artistic bottle designs and its contact with celebrities, The Champagne House has established itself in such a way that it is one of the highest-priced sparkling brands in the world.
In the past, Ace of Spades has been transformed from a favorite of aristocrats to an aspirational item for the millennial wine lover. This is in part due to the massive media coverage Ace of Spades received after Jay-Z bought Ace of Spades.
The Armand de Brignac is also known for its bottles that are ‘extra-large’ and which are available at jaw-dropping prices. Consider the case of the professional businessman and gambler Don Johnson, who bought a ‘Midas’ 30L golden bottle of Armand de Brignac Brut Gold for an impressive $190,000.
You can also hope that its secondary market price will continue its rising trend soon.
However, the path to investing in a premium wine is filled with fakes and high overhead costs. Additionally, it isn’t easy to find Armand de Brignac bottles. Certain bottles are pre-ordered by the brand’s top customers and are available on the market for only several months.
There’s only one method to get over these hurdles. It’s investing in high-end wine bottles via Vinovest.
